Following the announcement of the Pixel 6 pair, Google’s Pixel smartphones received Android 12 earlier this month. Those who possess a non-Google phone, on the other hand, will have to wait at least a few months for the stable Android 12 to arrive on their handsets. However, some phone manufacturers have already declared their plans to release Android 12 betas, with vivo being the most recent to do so.
The Android 12 upgrade has been confirmed for 31 vivo smartphones in the S, V, X, and Y series, and the beta version will begin trickling out next month, with the X70 Pro+ being the first to receive it.
vivo will release an Android 12 beta for the X60 Pro+, X60 Pro, X60, V21, and Y72 5G in December. Surprisingly, the beta build will be released in January 2022 for the X70 Pro, which was released alongside the X70 Pro+. The V21e 5G, V20 2021, V20, Y21, Y51A, and Y31 are among the devices that will receive Android 12 beta in the same month. The complete list of devices and their release dates may be found in the image below.
vivo hasn’t acknowledged Funtouch OS 12, the latest version of its own Android skin for worldwide markets, in any of its public communications (Chinese units run Origin OS). However, because the X70 series is already available in international markets with Funtouch OS 12, the Android 12 beta update for the devices stated above should include Funtouch OS 12
It’s also worth noting that the vivo stated today’s Android 12 beta distribution timeline is only for India, and the deployment plan for other regions may differ.
