The Poco F3 phones destined for the European market are finally receiving a fresh software upgrade, dubbed MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version/edition by Xiaomi. This is one of those massive under-the-hood improvements that doesn’t create an impact because of big new user-facing capabilities; instead, it improves the overall sense of using a device.
MIUI 12.5 Enhanced is available for Poco F3 phones in Europe as version 184.108.40.206. (RKHEUXM). It’s a 466MB download from the previous version, and after installed, you’ll be on the August 1 2021 security update level, which is awful in October but regrettably standard in Xiaomi and Poco territory.
The changelog is massive, so we won’t go over it all here; instead, if you’re interested in every single thing on the list, check out the screenshots above. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced main philosophy is divided into four elements. “Swift performance” with longer battery life, “focused performance” with new algorithms that dynamically allocate system resources based on usage, ensuring a smooth experience, “atomized memory,” an ultra-fine memory management mechanism for more efficient RAM usage, and “liquid storage” mechanisms that will “keep your system vibrant and responsive as time passes.”
As previously said, there are numerous behind-the-scenes enhancements and optimizations, as well as a slew of bug patches. Essentially, this Enhanced edition isn’t designed to add any new features; instead, it’s supposed to improve the ones you already have, making them smoother and (hopefully) bug-free.
We can definitely tell that our Poco F3 feels a little more snappy and fluid in operation after a few hours of using the latest software, and we haven’t noticed any bugs so far. Of course, those things could still happen, and the sensation of greater smoothness could just be wishful thinking. So, if you’re running MIUI 12.5 Enhanced on your device, let us know what you think in the comments.
